Frequently Asked Questions
What to wear?
We offer a suggested dress code more to spark your imagination than police your outfit. Embrace maximalism, color, and flair—or keep it comfortably casual. Above all, choose what makes you feel good; nothing should stand between you and the symphony.
How does seating work?
The seating is first come first served within the section. The hall is roughly divided into thirds.
When to clap?
Historically, audiences often clapped between themes or even within movements, and by the Romantic era spontaneous bursts were the norm. Today, in more traditional spaces, etiquette asks you to wait until the end of the concert —but we’re relaxed about it all. It’s chill.
What to know?
Come as you are—no prior knowledge required. Each concert kicks off with a short talk designed to bring everyone onto the same page. Then sit back, relax, and let the music guide you.
When to get there?
We open doors 30 minutes before the show starts. In order to secure the best seats in the section, get a little early to catch a good seat.
Kids?
Kids are welcome. Under the age of 3, they don’t need tickets. We ask however, that you arrive early and get a seat that would allow you to step out if necessary.
Pets?
The Cathedral is a sacred space, so pets aren’t allowed unfortunately.
